Annual Marketing Plan
The OC Beauty and Fitness Expo is being professionally produced by B Scene Advertising Agency, a full service advertising agency and event production agency and will be held at the landmark Newport Dunes Waterfront in the 14,000 sqr. ft. tent expandable to double if needed.
E-Commerce
- A weekly e-mail will be sent to our 150,000+ database with sponsors represented in the e-mail. The database includes magazine and TV editors and key publicists as well as the residences in Newport Beach and surrounding cities. We are reaching out to our sponsors and contacts to also send the information to their databases.
- Sponsors at Sovereign level and above will have the opportunity to provide a promotion in e-mails.
- Sponsors will be represented on the websites and will link to their sites as applicable. All media about our sponsors in relationship to the Expo will be posted on the site. This site is being professionally designed by the award winning web site development team at B Scene Advertising Agency.
- A Myspace page has been created for the Expo. All sponsors will be represented on the Myspace page. A friend adder has been hired to add 1000’s new contacts to the Myspace page. The Myspace page will be used to promote the Expo and to drive traffic to our sponsors websites.
- A Facebook page has been created and will be used to promote the Expo and its sponsors.
- Alliances with other promoters will be utilized to target a broader e-mail base and online contacts.
- The events leading up to the Expo will be posted on all available known web based event calendars for the Orange County areas.
- Additional e-commerce activities may be performed throughout the year as opportunities become available.
Public Relations
- Press Releases will be sent to the newspapers, magazines, radio and TV media contacts to announce the addition of sponsors as they come on board.
- Press Releases will be sent to all major public relations firms to increase event awareness.
- Press Releases will be sent to the general public in Orange County to announce activities and sponsors related to the Expo.
Marketing Collateral
- There are approximately 58,000 active businesses in Newport Beach and Corona Del Mar. These businesses will be engaged to support the Expo by hanging a poster for the Expo in their store windows or office buildings. Sponsors will be represented on the posters.
- Postcards with sponsors represented on them will be placed at accepting businesses throughout Orange County.
- Flyers with the sponsors represented will be handed out at public locations.
- Event Banners will be produced with sponsors represented. The banners will also be used at media events and after the expo to continue the enthusiasm for the event leading up to the following years event.
Promotional Events
Sponsors will be included in the following events:
- Events will be held at sponsoring locations. The current reigning Miss Newport Beach and Miss Newport Beach Teen can be present at your company event for ribbon cuttings, anniversaries and other corporate events.
- There will be photo sessions in public places with celebrities and sponsors at the Expo.
- There will be a series of classes for the attendees that will include beauty, make-up application, hair care, etiquette, public speaking, spokes modeling, acting, fitness and more. Sponsors have the first right to provide their products and training for these training seminars. The 2 day expo will have a full calendar of classes offered based on sponsor’s offerings.
- The Expo event will provide the sponsors with booth space based on their sponsorship level.
- We will post events on the website to promote the sponsors. We will also provide a calendar of events to the attendees so that they may join any event at the Expo.
Media, Television, Radio, Print
- We are currently working with a popular cable station negotiating the taping of the Expo for a series. We are also inquiring with other networks to negotiate coverage. Once a contract is signed more details will be provided. KDOC will be filming the events for their daily DayBreak show.
- KDOC is a key media sponsor. KDOC has 5 million viewers.
- We have agreed to a 30 minute paid interview on local cable.
- We have pitched to the producers of the Morning Show on KTLA. We will continue to pitch to additional producers throughout the year.
- As the budget allows we will take out print ads in local magazines. We will consider Newport News, The Daily Pilot, Newport 714, Coast, Live OC, OC Weekly and and Newport Beach Magazine.
- B Scene partners with 944 Magazine and will have significant coverage in this very popular and hip publication.
- We will submit articles to The Register, Los Angeles Times and The Post, Daily Pilot, and others.
- We will engage the news stations to tape the events throughout the year.
- A DVD will be produced for the expo’s events.
The Main Event (The EXPO)
- The Expo will occur over a couple days and will include continuous shows and training on day one and day two.
- During the main event the sponsors will have several opportunities to market their products and create brand awareness.
- Banners will be at the event location and will include the sponsors.
- Tables are available at the event for Sovereign level sponsors and above.
- A program book will be given to each event attendee. There will be an ad for each sponsor respective to their level of sponsorship. Their will also be a tribute page for each sponsor.
- Gift bags will be given to each attendee and will include promotional items from our sponsors. The bags will be given to the attendees upon arrival. The attendees will use the gift bags to hold the promotional items and marketing materials they gather as they explore the Expo.
- We are open to discuss other ideas sponsors have that would be mutually beneficial for the sponsors, the contestants and the producers.
Post Events
- Sponsors will benefit during the post events and the following year’s Expo PR up to 2 months prior to next year’s Expo. A new sponsorship will need to be purchased for the next year’s Expo after March 31, 2009.
